CPC Chief flays Critics Of Jigawa Reps

A leader of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Jigawa State, Alhaji Magaji Dogo Dan Umaru, has faulted critics of the members representing Kazaure, Roni, Gwiwa and Yankwashi federal constituency, Hon. Bashir Adamu Kazaure and that of Dutse/ Kiyawa federal constituency, Hon.Tijjani Ibrahim Gaya, over alleged non-performance.

He described the lawmakers’ critics as cowards, who lack focus and political direction.
Alhaji Dogo said even though ina democratic dispensation citizens havegot the constitutional right to air their views; it should be done with caution and objectivity.

The CPC chief, who spoke to LEADERSHIP WEEKEND in Dutse, said God who gives leadership to whom he wishes and takes it at any time has the final verdict. “I see no wisdom in continually castigating leaders who are doing their best. I am a staunch follower of these lawmakers and their unprecedented performance at the National Assembly coupled with the various developments they have brought to their constituencies. I therefore, felt obliged to defend them, irrespective of the fact that I am from an opposition party.”

Dogo said it was part of his principle and culture to commend persons, who are doing well irrespective of their party inclination.

He said the Lambar-Kunchi and Kazaure federal roads, which cost over N10 billion, was part of the efforts of the lawmakers and their colleagues from Kano State.
