At Last Eagles Get AFCON Bonus

The Super Eagles were yesterday morning paid a bonus of $25,000-a-man for beating Burkina Faso to win the AFCON in South Africa.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) could not come up with the cash to pay the team after they won the continental tournament on February 10 in Johannesburg courtesy of a Sunday Mba goal.

A source close to the Eagles confirmed to MTNFoootball.com that the team has now been paid. It was further gathered that this payment could well have been possible after the NFF received the payment of the cash prize of $1.5 million for winning the competition.
