Why We Must Live In Peace In Nigeria – Sultan

The Sultan of Sokoto and president, Islamic Council of Nigeria Abubakar Sa’ad 111, has noted that Nigeria is the only country in the universe that has adequate followers of both Islam and non-Islamic religion.

According to the Sultan, Nigeria has no fewer than 80 million followers of Islam and should as a matter of urgency make the issue of peacefully cohabitation with non-Muslims a top priority. ?

The Sultan who spoke when the Secretary General, World Muslim League Dr. Abdullahi bin Abdul-Muhsin Al-Turki, paid him a courtesy at the Sultan palace in preparation for the “International Conference on Islam And The Fundamentals Of Peaceful Co-existence In Nigeria,” organised by the Sokoto State government, maintained that, he is in total support of any peace mission.

According to the Sultan, hence, the Muslim World League is founded with the aim of promoting and sustaining global peace, he would collaborate with the league towards achieving this noble set goal.

Earlier, the Secretary General, Muslim World League Dr. Abdullahi bin Abdul-Muhsin Al-Turki, while on a courtesy call to governor Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, stressed that, Islam is peace and assured of Saudi Arabian continues support to Nigeria.

Governor Wamakko on his part, while acknowledging their visit, stressed that, the International Conference on Islam and The Fundamentals of Peaceful Co-existence In Nigeria will enhance better understanding of Islam globally.
