The Senate President, David Mark, says the media in the country has contributed to the success of the National Assembly and those who have come to the senate from the media have performed well.
Mark made this statement when the Senate Press Corp paid him a visit yesterday? to celebrate his birthday which held on April 8.
According to Mark, he did not celebrate his birthday but used the day for prayers and sober reflection and also said if different people from all walks of life come to the senate and serve effectively,it will be good for the senate.
He said: We are all on board the same ship trying to entrench and lay a solid foundation in this country.It has not been easy as people will always resist change,its a risk we must take to make things move forward in this country.”
“The National Assembly and the media have been partners in progress and all the success this Senate has achieved is due to the media and we hope this will continue,” he said.
