Nasarawa Assembly Passes 21 Bills

Speaker of Nasarawa State Assembly, Hon. Musa Mohammed, has said that the lawmakers house passed 21 bills in the past legislative year

Ahmed, who disclosed this yesterday at the valedictory session to mark the end of legislative year, also said 12 bills were awaiting passage, and that 39 resolutions were passed into law.

He called called on the governor to as a matter of urgency assent to the bills passed into law without failing which the House would invoke a certain section of the law and pass the bills into law.

He said the issue of staff welfare would be taken seriously by the House and called on workers to be very dutiful? in the discharge of their duties so as to justify the welfare.

Hon. Musa commended members of the House for the support they have been giving him and also urged them to continue with the gesture in the best interest of the House, the state and the country as a whole.

Meanwhile, the House has rejected the nominees for appointment as chairman and members of the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC), for violating the law establishing the commission.
