The lawmaker representing Gwarzo/kabo federal constituency of Kano State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sule Garo,? has congratulated the state governor, Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, for his victory at the Supreme Court which yesterday dismissed the petition of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) against his victory in last April’s governorship elections.
In the judgement, the Supreme Court declared that the petition lacked merit and subsequently dismissed it.
The lawmaker, who is a member of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the governor, said yesterday in Abuja that the apex court’s judgement was a confirmation of the mandate freely given to Kwankwaso by the people of the state in the election.
He said the fact the Kwankwaso had earlier won at both the tribunal and the Court of Appeal showed that his victory was unquestionable.
