Jonathan Condoles With Ekweremadu Over Father’s Death

President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, condoled with the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu over the death of his father, His Royal Highness, Igwe Mathias Ekweremadu.
The president said that he received with sadness the news of the passing away of the respected royal father.

A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati read, “On behalf of himself, the Federal Government and the people of Nigeria, President Jonathan commiserates with Senator Ekweremadu and the entire Ekweremadu Family of the Anekeoji Mpu Autonomous Community of Enugu State.

“As they mourn their father and patriarch of the Ekweremadu family, the President urges Senator Ekweremadu, his siblings and other relatives to take solace in the knowledge that Igwe Ekweremadu lived to a grand old age, and in passing on, has left many worthy and exemplary legacies for his children and members of his community.

President Jonathan prays that God Almighty will grant Igwe Ekweremadu’s soul eternal rest”.
