UNN Produces 7000 Law Graduates In 50 Years

The Faculty of Law of the University of Nigeria has produced over 7000 graduates in 50 years of its existence as the pioneer Law faculty in Nigeria just as it had commenced plans to celebrate its Golden Jubilee.

Chairman of University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus(UNEC) Faculty of Law-Alumni Association, Chief Mike Ahamba,(SAN) made the disclosure weekend during a media interaction between the association and newsmen in Enugu.

According to him, Professors teaching law in Nigeria and other parts of the world ; judges at different levels of the judiciary including Court of Appeal and Supreme Court; Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Governors of States of Nigeria, among others were among the over 7000 law graduates.

Ahamba stated that the anniversary, which he said would commence from 23 May and end on 25 of the same month, was part of efforts to encourage and motivate law undergraduates in the institution to strive for excellence as well as to seek ways of ensuring that the faculty remained the envy of other universities.
