Man Dies Atop Prostitute In Calabar Hotel

A young spinster is now helping the police with information on how a married man was found dead on top of her in a low profile hotel frequented by commercial sex workers in Calabar, the Cross River State capital. EDEM EDEM reports.

They have been having fun in the place and have somewhat become used to the spot. Workers in the dingy hotel can easily identify Ete Samuel and his lover, Peace Idorenyin as two lovers who have been visiting the place on a sustained basis.

In fact, the duo had a permanent room in the low profile hotel, which is used for what has come to be known as ‘short time’- a practice whereby a man and woman pay a little amount of money and make love in a hotel so as to avoid paying for the whole day.

On Monday afternoon, when Ete Samuel flagged down a tricycle in front of his house at number 14 EkpoAbasi Lane in Calabar South Local Government Area, he was full of life and bubbling with the zeal of meeting his secret lover, who has been having fun with him over the years.

Neither the wife, nor his children suspected any foul play when Samuel told them that he was taking a walk round the area and would soon return to have his lunch.

It was not unusual for him to take a stroll and none of the family member had any reason to argue with him as he dashed out of the house and hopped into the tricycle, which in a jiffy landed him at his preferred destination: Atu Street, where Peace was anxiously waiting to hold him in her warm embrace.

In a couple of minutes, both lover birds had locked themselves up in their rendezvous, frolic king from one side of the bed to the other and consummating their love.? The two lovers kissed, touched and romanced themselves like birds that had been out of touch for many years.

They spoke in low tones as they progressed in their love game and reached out for more drinks, music and other delicacies of their choice.

Although there was no public power supply by the time the duo arrived the hotel, the management suddenly switched on its generator in order to provide the needed comfort for the lovers.

Round after round of love-making, Samuel gave a kind of kudos to his love mate and asked for more and the game was progressing steadily and with ecstasy.

It was learnt that the two engaged in what a hotel source described as ‘marathon sex’, which nearly forced them tap on the door of the room where the two lovers were mating.

Samuel, who is said to be in his late 30s, with many children, was fond of engaging in rigourous sex with commercial sex workers, paying little or no attention to his wife, who barely manages to keep the home.

On the fateful day that death came calling while he was on top of the woman she loved most; he had no premonition that he was breathing his last.

As he was stroking his bedmate away, his heart suddenly stopped pumping. His head tilted to one side of the bed and his ‘tool’ eventually ceased to produce any movement inside the woman.

But all this did not matter to Peace, who was still expecting that his man was tired and was merely trying to recuperate for a renewed ‘strike’. But it was not to be, the man had long died and gone on top of peace.

Long after he had given up the ghost, Peace was still lying down under the dead man, expecting more actions from the man who had been giving her several organisms from uncountable rounds of sex in the past.

And then, she realized the man was no more: she cried. Sam! Sam!, my Sam!” she screamed in hushed and confused tone that sent more shock to her. “I’m finished,” she said to herself, in self pity.

She managed to jerk the body of her lover up, stood up and decided to inform the hotel owners. Peace knew she was in for trouble but never had an idea of how she could get out of the big mess that could consume her and all that she stood for in life.

But she summed up courage to inform the hotel management. Running away from the dead body was not an option that crossed her mind, apparently because of her love for the dead.

A source? in the hotel said that? the owner of the hotel alerted him around 5pm that Monday on what had happened and solicited his assistance in handling the situation, which he described as ‘something I cannot handle alone’.

“When I got there I went into the room and saw a young man on the floor with foam coming out of his mouth and I called the police, who came and took the corpse to the mortuary and the lady to Atakpa Police Station.

But fair-complexioned Peace, has denied being the cause of Samuel’s death, insisting that she has been having sex with other men did not die.

“I did not kill him as many men have slept with me and they did not die. This was not the first time Ete Samuel was doing it with me.”

She said that when she discovered that his customer had given up the ghost while on duty, she alerted the owners of the hotel immediately and stayed back because she was not responsible for the unfortunate death.

“I could have escaped but since I knew I was not the cause of his death I had to wear him his trouser before calling people to help me,” she confessed.

Peace said that when she noticed that the man was vibrating, she thought that he was about to reach another round of orgasm, not suspecting that he was dying. But when he did not make any move of coming down from my body after some time I pushed him and saw that he was foaming in his mouth,” the woman admitted.

The Cross River State Police Public Relations officer, Barrister Hogan Bassey, confirmed the arrest of the woman, whom he said would assist them with information on the matter.
