Three persons have been killed?? in? attacks in Barkin? Ladi and Riyom Local Government Areas of Plateau State by unknown gunmen.
According to? Mark Lipdo, the coordinator of Stefanus Foundation, a non-governmental organisation based in Jos,? two persons??? were killed at Sho village of? Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of the state.
He disclosed that one Monday Davou was killed? at? Rantwol – Sopp, Riyom Local Government Area on his way to? farm yesterday.
Meanwhile, following the attack on a bar in Heipang, Barkin Ladi late Monday night? which left over 10 persons dead, the Plateau State police command has appealed to operators of drinking joints in Barkin Ladi Local Government and Riyom to close by 6 pm while drinking joints in Bukuru,? Jos metropolis and other local governments in the state would close by 7pm.
The state police command in a statement made? available to LEADERSHIP in Jos yesterday and signed by? Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO), DSP Abuh Emmanuel, said the appeal has become imperative in view of the current attacks on drinking joints in the state.
The statement also enjoined members of the public to cooperate with the police and other security agencies to rid the state of criminal elements bent on disrupting the existing fragile peace in the state.
The PPRO also asked members of the public to go about their legitimate business as the command has resolved to deal ruthlessly with enemies of the state.
