The Nigerian Men’s Handball team have lost their first two games in Group B at the 21st Africa Handball Cup of Nations (CAN-2014) holding at the Harcha Hacene sports hall in Algiers.

Logo_CAN_2014On the first day of competition, the Nigerians lost to their Algerian counterpart 34-16 (halftime 19-8) on Thursday January 16th. Congo and Angola defeated DR Congo (36-33) and Morocco (29-23) respectively during the two other matches in Group B.

The second day of competition saw the victory of Morocco and Angola over Congo (36-23) and Nigeria (27-19) while the group leaders Algeria struggled to beat DR Congo 26-23.

The 21st edition of the African Handball Championships runs from January 16-25, 2014.
