Wenger confirms Walcott, Gibbs For Swansea City

The Gunners boss is able to welcome back the two Englishmen but is still without a host of injured and suspended players as he looks to bounce back from Manchester United defeat.
Walcott missed England’s 1-0 victory against Wales as a precaution, but goal.com report that both players had recovered from hamstring complaints and could start at the Emirates

Stadium for the clash against the newly promoted side.

“Kieran is back. Theo has been working hard and is fit. All the other players came back from international duty in good shape,” he told the club’s official website.

However, there is still bad news for the Frenchman with regards to injuries and suspensions as a number of first-team players remain unavailable to him.
Although Emmanuel Frimpong can play again following his one-match suspension incurred after picking up two yellow cards against Liverpool, Wenger is still without the likes of

Jack Wilshere and Thomas Vermaelen due to injuries and will have to wait another week to bring back Gervinho and Alex Song to the side after they were banned following the Newcastle United match on the opening day of the season.

“We have [Abou] Diaby and Wilshere out. Vermaelen has had his surgery, which went well. So there are three players out there,” Wenger continued.
“The other one who may not be available is [Tomas] Rosicky, who came back with a kick on his knee. We’ll see how he is tomorrow morning.
“[Andre] Santos is a bit short because he has not had competition since the Copa America. He is practicing well though.

“We also have Gervinho and Song suspended, but it is their last game out from the Newcastle match.
“[Carl] Jenkinson is suspended as well after two yellow cards at Manchester United. [Sebastien] Squillaci is not back yet.”
On Wilshere’s injury, Wenger added: “He has an inflamed bone. He will be one month in a boot and we’ll see how he responds after that.

“We have got the best specialists in the world to assess his case because it is an unusual one. He said he felt it the first time for England against Switzerland, although he did suffer from a similar problem years ago.
“He thought it would go away but when he came back in pre-season it became slowly more painful again. It got to the stage at the Emirates Cup where we had to stop him.”
