President Goodluck

presentation of books written about them by Coalition Front for

The two books,‘The Voice of the Earth’ and ‘Goodluck/Sambo, the Hidden Treasure,’ were billed for presentation at the occasion.

The event,which was
slated for 10am took place at Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, however, it
turned out to be a disappointment when at about 2pm, none of the
dignitaries invited turned up for the event.

Among those invited
were President Goodluck Jonathan; Vice President Namadi Sambo; Senate
President, David Mark; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji
Bankole; Director-General of Goodluck/Sambo Campaign Organisation,
Dahaltu Tafida; Acting National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party,
Bello Haliru; Farouk Lawal of House of Representative and Chairman
Senate Committee on Education,Ahmed Markafi, who was to chaired the
occasion Although the hall was averagely filled up with many
supporters, majority were members of the party, the only invitee at the
event was the books reviewer, Chukwudi Obinne, a professor and Deputy
Director, Institute of Food Security, University of Markurdi.

In his review, Mr.
Obinne described the books as a must read for all Nigerians. He said
the books are collection of essays about the potentials inherent in
President Goodluck Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo, he
described ‘The Voice of the Earth’ as an anthology explaining the
nature of our democracy.

“The first section of ‘The Voice of the Earth’ deals with democracy
,with 42 articles. They have philosophical lessons that are implied in
them. In the articles, we have ‘The Voice of the Oppressed’ which talks
about the pains of the downtrodden. ‘The Pen’ is another article which
eulogises the power of the pen, he describes it as a weapon more
destructive than Tsunami, despite this can still joy and happiness’’.
