Three people were said to have been injured on Sunday night when a miniature bomb exploded at Sabon Gari in Fagge Local Government area of? Kano, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
Mr Williams Okey, a resident of the area, told NAN in Kano that a loud noise was heard on Sunday night “that frightened many people around’’.
He said that those injured were rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
However, the Police Public Relations Officer, Malam Musa Majiya, who confirmed the incident to NAN, said that nobody was injured in the incident, which occurred at about 7:15 p.m. on Ado Bayero road, Sabon Gari.
“On hearing the sound of the explosive, our bomb disposal unit rushed to the area and recovered an improvised explosive device.
“The explosion only affected a Honda CRV car parked close to the place where it happened,’’ he said. (NAN)
