Nominations invited for 2011 Nigerian Leadership Initiative (NLI) Associate Programme

Nigerian Leadership Initiative (NLI)Nigerians have been invited to nominate an Outstanding Young Person for the Nigerian Leadership Initiative (NLI) Associate Programme – October 2011.

Every year, NLI hosts 3-day residential Future Leaders Seminars (FLS) as a prerequisite for individuals who wish to join NLI’s Associate Programme. The FLS is held in May and October each year for emerging public and private sector leaders aged 25 to 35 years and based in Nigeria or the Diaspora. At the end of each seminar, participants are inducted as Associates of NLI.

Moderators and speakers at NLI’s last seminar included: Bisi Onasanya (MD, First Bank of Nigeria Plsc), Bola Adesola (NLI Fellow and MD, Standard Chartered Bank), Jimi Morgan, (NLI Fellow and Financial Analyst), Nasir El-Rufai (NLI Fellow and former FCT Minister), Maryam Uwais (NLI Fellow & Principal Partner, Wali-Uwais & Co) and Asue Ighodalo (NLI Fellow and Managing Partner, Banwo & Ighodalo).

Nomination Criteria:

  • Candidates must be 25-35 years old
  • They must be exceptional and outstanding leaders in their fields
  • They must provide a written paper on the topic, I am Nigeria
  • They must complete an application form found at http://nli-global.org/nominate-future-leaders/
  • Self Nominations are Permitted
